Hailing from Benton Harbor, Michigan, Jeffery McCoy Jr. is a charismatic, mission-driven leader dedicated to helping individuals unlock their full potential. A proud graduate of Lake Michigan College and Andrews University, Jeffery is a licensed social worker and Clinical therapist with a deep passion for speaking and empowering others.
Jeffery is a seasoned motivational speaker with over a decade of experience inspiring audiences across various industries. In addition to his 10-year speaking career, he has worked extensively in primary and secondary education, supporting children of all ages for more than five years.
Jeffery also brings valuable insights from the corporate world, having gained firsthand experience at Whirlpool and leading wireless companies. The combination of his clinical social work expertise, extensive mental health knowledge, and passionate speaking rooted in a diverse background allows him to connect with a wide range of audiences, from students and educators to corporate professionals, equipping them with the resilience, mindset, and strategies needed for success.
Despite a challenging upbringing marked by adversity, including abuse, poverty, and mental health struggles, Jeffery’s resilience and determination have become his hallmark. He often shares his inspiring story of overcoming academic challenges—graduating high school with 16 Ds and 16 Fs—and refusing to let those setbacks define his future. Today, he holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and is preparing to begin his doctoral studies in January 2026.
